The Porch at Friars Bay Inn and Cottages Welcomes Dianna Parker and Taylor Davidson as Managers for 2022 Season

We are excited to kick off the season at the beginning of May with new management and a great new menu! Dianna Parker and Taylor Davidson, local members of the Friars Bay community bring a combined 40 years of food service and tourism industry experience. Their extensive knowledge of the history and area will infuse the menu with a local feel.

Dianna and Taylor are passionate about the island. Dianna grew up on Campobello Island and Taylor, her daughter-in-law, a young indigenous entrepreneur, on St. Mary’s First Nation, New Brunswick. They both channel a local understanding In their cooking to create food that represents this unique and beautiful place.

They have updated the menu, which will feature locally sourced food such as soups, sandwiches, specialty salads, and burgers. As the season progresses, new entrees, seafood chowders and daily specials will be added. They will also be introducing The Porch at Friar’s Bay Box Lunches and Breakfast Takeaway Boxes for guests. Dianna brings extensive island connections to The Porch, which will now feature local art shows, music nights and other special events throughout the season.

Dianna has worked at The Lupine Lodge on Campobello Island. She is also Chair of Fog Fest, a long-standing local musical event that is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in July. Taylor brings extensive food service and concessions experience, and she recently completed a Business Management program.

Dianna and Taylor are excited to bring their passion for great food and long standing island traditions to The Porch.

The Porch will open for the season on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Hours:

Sunday-Wednesday – 7:00am-4:00pm
Thursday-Saturday – 7:00am-8:00pm

They are looking forward to the opening of The Porch at Friars Bay Inn and Cottages in May and continuing to have fun doing what they love.
