The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world, and Campobello provides beautiful views of some of the many historic lighthouses in the area. Mulholland Point light is located close to the FDR Memorial Bridge, which links the island with Lubec, Maine. A nearby picnic area offers a view of the Channel Lighthouse and the islands and waters of Johnson Bay. At the far northeastern end of Campobello is the Head Harbour Lightstation. This lighthouse overlooks the Bay of Fundy from a rocky point that becomes an island at high tide.

Herring Cove Provincial Park is located on the eastern side of the island and has campgrounds, hiking trails, a mile-long beach, golf course, and restaurant.

Ongoing Activites

Whale Watching – The waters alongside Campobello Island, in the Bay of Fundy, are home to many whales, providing our guests with a unique opportunity to see these giant creatures in person. Whales are frequent visitors to the Bay of Fundi because they love the large rise and fall of the tides. Accessible by foot at low tide, Head Harbour Lightstation is one of the best land-based whale-watching spots in the region. There are also two companies that provide cruises, Captain Riddles– or Island Cruises. The season runs from June through October.

Fishing Tours – Fishing tours can be booked once on-island with two local companies.

Golf – Herring Cove Provincial Park, only a 15 minute walk when you stay with us (less by bicycle!), is home to a challenging, well-maintained 9 hole course. Tee times can easily be booked in advance for whenever you’d like to play! The course is also home to 6-8 tournaments throughout the summer.
