The Bay of Fundy – An Amazing Place for Whale Watching!

The waters alongside Campobello Island, in the Bay of Fundy, are home to many whales, providing an amazing opportunity to see these giant creatures in person.

Whales are frequent visitors to the Bay of Fundy because they love the large rise and fall of the tides. Don’t be surprised if you see Minke, Humpback or Northern Right whales just to name a few. Accessible by foot at low tide, Head Harbour Lightstation is one of the best land-based whale watching spots in the region.

There are also two companies that provide cruises, Captain Riddles or Island Cruises. The season runs from June through October. Be sure to check out one of these whale watching options  on your next visit to the island.
