Two Country Running – Ready, Set, Go!

Nothing beats a run across the U.S. – Canadian border in this certified Boston Marathon qualifier. Experience breathtaking scenery and nature as you run from lighthouse to lighthouse along this hilly and challenging course between Lubec, Maine, and Campobello Island, New Brunswick.

Start off at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in the quaint town of Lubec. See bald eagles soar through forests overhead or seals and whales along the course out at sea as you go. Run through scenic fishing villages on your way to the Head Harbour Lightstation turn on Campobello Island. Cross the international Franklin Delano Roosevelt Bridge into the U.S. to reach the finish line on the beautiful Lubec waterfront.

Far from the big city marathons and crowds, runners almost outnumber residents on race weekend. Racers even get to celebrate their success with awards and medals handcrafted by local artists.

The race course passes right by the Inn so be sure to cheer on the runners at the 7th Annual Bay of Fundy International Marathon on Sunday, June 23, 2019.
For the running enthusiast, registration opens on November 1, 2018.
